Poor customer service/bad equipment - resolved
I purchased equipment and also arranged for one of their professional installers to install everything. The appt. for installation was on 6/25/2024. He had a problem with the doorbell camera and called the Cove help line. After explaining the issue he was having, the CSR stated it was a problem on their side and she'd get it taken care of. That didn't happen. I finally called them again, in August. I was told a replacement doorbell camera would be sent. I was forewarned it might take a few weeks due to a backorder issue. Finally, September 20th, I received a UPS text stating they had the package. On 9/25 I received another UPS text stating the package would be delivered 9/26. Didn't happen. I've called Cove Support 3 times with the last Cove Chat 10/08/2024, and keep getting a run around. Today, even sending them the UPS activity showing they had received the package on 9/20 and all UPS activity 9/20 through 9/26, the newest CSR chat person informed me the package was in the process of being sent as if it were the first time. I asked to have the issue elevated to a manager but just got the is there anything else I can help you with response. So still no 100% working doorbell camera, no answer as to who is to install it considering I already paid over $200 for a professional installation, and no explanation as to what is going on between COVE and UPS other than to tell me about the bad weather going on which is holding up the shipment... and the shipment UPS processed in September remains a mystery. Oh, they have had no problem with my monthly autopayment of $27.99
I received a call the day after I posted the above. Nick from Cove actually read the UPS activity and understood my frustration in the prior CRS staff telling me that Cove hadn't even sent it to UPS due to it being backordered. Nick assured me he would get another camera sent after I told him the current camera's issues. Nick just sent me another text as I am typing this and provided the tracking number along with telling me the camera is being dropped off to UPS tonight. Major thank you to Nick for getting this resolved.

TEN STARS!! I contacted Cove via chat due to a few frustrations I had with my current system and the complications logging in to different Cove apps. I have been with Cove since their beginning. At the time the system was basic and the app was spotty. With Cove I receive a monthly $5 revolving credit toward purchasing any future equipment add-ons. I found out today that my outdated “simple” system does not support cameras, smoke detectors or C02 sensors! Additionally, I would have to purchase to the newer system for $150 and $20 for a set of compatible smoke and C02 sensors. The chat Customer Support, Rubelyn G., did a phenomenal job answering my concerns, solving my login issues and explaining the new system vs the old system I had since Cove started years ago. I have accumulated $105 of equipment credit on my account and was pleased to find out that I can apply this toward the upgrades! Cove started out years ago with an affordable basic home security system to what, today, has become more fitting to current technologies and needs. I am glad to stay a happy Cove customer so far. There are many competitors in today’s home security market. I am a first-hand customer that knows Cove’s system has become a leader in the home security segment! If you need home security that is reasonably affordable, easy to install, provides $5 monthly equipment credits and excellent customer service, COVE is an excellent choice!!!
