Cove Sensor Mystery

Mary contacted me about a missing (not delivered) sensor. I only contacted Cove to find out the status of it. It appears that it was stuck somewhere in shipping. Instead of trying to spend time trying to find it, she ordered another one for me and asked me to let her know when it came and if there were two sensors. She really went above and beyond what I expected her to do.

Great choice with more features on the way!

So I have been looking for a security system for a while now. I originally was going to go with Vivint. The thing that I noticed with Vivint is that they're very careful to not tell you the price of the equipment that you're getting from them. They only told me the monthly cost and that it was going to be for "x" amount of months". I looked at the email that I received from them after making a deposit and was shocked to find out that they were charging over $2,000 for the equipment. At first I was going to go through with it because I was able to talk the cost down a little. But that begs the question of why would the cost of equipment be flexible to start. Everything should have a set price. After more back and forth I decided to cancel my appointment with them and kept on looking. I decided to go with Cove because it had all the sensors and monitoring I needed and everything was at a reasonable price, not over inflated. I've interacted with their costumer service a couple times not and they've been nothing but kind and helpful. While there are some features that I would like to have that aren't available (smart lock function, garage door control), I've been told that these things and more are being worked on. They also have a First Responder, Mil/Vet, Nursing, and Teacher deal that is worth looking at.

Good responsive Customer Service all the way from sales inquiry to installation support to operational support. System is excellent for a basic home security system, easy to install & operate. Monitoring rates are reasonable, components are reasonably priced. App and control panel are adequate, has a lot of nice features but would be excellent if slightly better executed. But once familiar, the App and Panel works well.

Outstanding Customer Service!

I’ve been having some shipping issues and haven’t received my Cove equipment (due to FedEx not Cove) and called in today see what was going on. Not only did Kevin provide outstanding customer service, he called FedEx for me, called me back in 5 minutes with an answer and gave me two weeks free off the monthly payment for an issue that wasn’t even Cove’s fault! I haven’t even received the system yet and I’m already beyond happy with this company.

I have found Cove to be an excellent company. The merchandise available and prices are exactly what I needed, and at an affordable price, including the monitoring service. The panel I received proved defective, and a representative was efficient and helpful in arranging for a replacement, which should be arriving soon. Based on what I have seen so far, I anticipate a a reliable and reassuring monitoring service for break-ins, fire and carbon monoxide, flooding, and any need for emergency medical assistance. I am grateful that I found this company!
