Only takes one person to make a difference
I am well aware this is a review of Cove itself, but I HAVE to bring up the call center agent spoke to today that was night and day from the call I had a few days ago. I will preface, that I had never had an issue with Cove or the agents in the almost 5 years I have had the service, until a few days ago. I was trying to find the shipping information for a recent upgrade I ordered 4 days prior. Not mad, not stressed about how long it was taking, nothing of the sort (because I really didn't care), just wanted to make sure I didn't miss the tracking, when I could expect it (since its well past the noted shipping dates on their site), since I needed to make sure someone would be home to get it if it was delivered while I was gone. Long story short, that call became increasingly frustrating, disrespectful, and the WORST experience I have ever had with Cove. Now. Let's talk about Josh. I called back today (3 days later) to just figure out at this point if my order was actually shipped or not. Not mad, not upset, just flustered and on edge based on my last call experience. Josh picked up the call and was immediately friendly. I gave the readers digest of what I was informed about my order on the last call, and that I just wanted to know if it actually shipped or not (in one breath mind you, which Josh noted, lol). He immediately told me he was going to do some research on my order to make sure there were no crossed wires or miscommunication. He put me on hold (not mute), and when he came back on the line he explained the DC was waiting on a couple pieces of my order to come back in stock before shipping which is why I hadn't recieved a tracking number, and he was shooting the info to his lead to follow up and attempt to expedite it. Mind you, this is BEFORE I downloaded my frustrations with the previous call. I immediately told him that I appreciated his honesty, and explained what I was told and the interaction I had on Thursday. He apologized for the previous agent's behavior and attitude (which, no sir! you do not apologize for someone else's bad attitude!), reassured me multiple times, and stated that I was noticeably frustrated, but pleasant to talk to (aww, thanks Josh!), and that he appreciated the conversation (though probably not as much as I did!). Josh was an absolute GEM to speak to, and turned my entire experience with Cove right back around by being reassuring, having a good sense of humor, empathetic, appreciative, personable, and going wayyyyyy above and beyond. He treated me like a person and not just another mundane call, and I truly enjoyed chatting with him. Little did he know, this call was a make or break for me with Cove. That is how bad that first negative interaction I have ever had with this company was. I am staying with Cove because of Josh. Because he had shown that the premier service Cove has always given is still there, and there are people there that know what they are doing, and will GLADLY get you a supervisor, for good or bad. Keep it up Josh, you are definitely one of the good ones, and a fantastic standard to base customer service on, making the customers feel valued, respected, heard, and human. Maraming salamat sa pagtulong sa akin, Josh! Sana ma promote ka!

Josh was exceptional
Josh was exceptional. Very patient, answered all my questions and educated me on the use of the cove app and how to maximize my security system. I truly recommend someone like Josh to higher management to rob that positive culture to other cove staff. Thank you Josh for such pleasant experience with cove.
