EDIT: It can tell you more about a company when you have a problem that they address than if you don't have an issue. Such was my experience with Cove. They responded to me about the installation trouble I had, outlined below. They showed a sincere interest in understanding what went wrong and backed up their assurances with a generous credit for the batteries I had to replace and for the inconvenience. I honestly feel a level of confidence in the company that protects our home now, and have not experienced any further issues with the alarm system. The price is competitive and the interface works great. Color me happy!

System arrived with weak batteries, causing issues with installation. Support couldn't identify the problem and just told me to try again (30-45 minute installation routine, ugh!).
Finally, I took it on myself to replace the cheap no-name batteries they provided with fresh, brand name batteries and that resolved the issue.
Support is poor, although they talk incessantly about how you're a valued customer. When it comes to actually helping with anything, they are frustrating to work with.
Ultimately, by the time you get it installed and working, you're not going to want to uninstall it, pack it up and return it, not knowing if another company will be any better anyway.
If you use them, suggest you replace all the batteries before installing the sensors. It's much easier to do it then and will save you from headaches now and having to replace them in a few months anyway.

I’m finding that I probably could have installed the DYI system myself using Cove support team rather than paying Hello Tech who sent a technician to install my system who knew very little about the Cove Gen 2 system.
